TowWise is operated by RETSA Group Pty Ltd (ABN 61 147 415 174), New South Wales, Australia. By using TowWise you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use TowWise.

1. What TowWise is

TowWise is a route planning tool for towing. You enter your vehicle and trailer dimensions, and TowWise plans a route and checks it against recorded height, width and length limits, and weight limits if you turn those on. If TowWise cannot find a route it is able to check, it tells you instead of guessing.

2. What TowWise is not

TowWise is not a navigation app and does not provide turn by turn guidance. It is a planning tool used before you drive.

TowWise checks recorded limits only. No dataset covers every restriction in Australia, and ours does not either. Recorded limits can be missing, out of date, or different from what is signed on the road today. TowWise has no roadworks, closure, traffic or weather data, and does not assess overhanging trees, narrow streets, tight turns, manoeuvring space, steep grades or road condition. A route TowWise has checked can still be a poor road to tow on.

3. Your responsibilities

You are the driver, and you remain responsible at all times for where and how you drive. You must obey road signs, check clearances and conditions on the day, know your vehicle's true dimensions and weights, and comply with the law. You must enter accurate dimensions: TowWise checks routes against what you enter, and results based on wrong dimensions will be wrong. TowWise assists your planning. It does not replace your judgement, and you must not rely on it as your sole means of deciding whether a road is suitable.

4. The service

TowWise is provided free of charge with a fixed monthly search allowance shared across all users. When the allowance is used, some features pause until it resets. We may change, limit, suspend or discontinue TowWise or any part of it at any time. We may introduce paid plans in future; nothing free today is promised to stay free.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to abuse the service: no automated scraping or bulk requests, no attempts to bypass rate limits or access controls, no interfering with the service or other users, and no using TowWise for anything unlawful. We apply rate limits and may block access that breaches them.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information TowWise handles and why. It forms part of these terms.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

TowWise is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that route results are accurate, complete or current, that recorded limits reflect what is signed or physically present on any road, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

We exclude all liability for loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, TowWise, including damage to vehicles, trailers or property, personal injury, and indirect or consequential loss, except to the extent such liability cannot be excluded by law.

8. Intellectual property

TowWise, its design, copy and branding belong to RETSA Group Pty Ltd. Map data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors and our routing providers under their own licences, credited in the app.

9. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date above changes, and material changes will be noted plainly. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
